Baldwin-Wallace College Senior Point Guard Tom Harrington is a Finalist for the

2005 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year

BEREA, OHIO —Baldwin-Wallace College senior point guard Tom Harrington (North Royalton/ Parma Heights Holy Name High School) is a finalist for the 2005 Bob Cousy Collegiate Point Guard of the Year award. He is one of 18 finalist from NCAA Divisions I, II and III and just one of three from Division III.

Harrington, a health and physical education major who carries a 3.4 grade point average, is a three-year starter and two-time team captain for the Yellow Jackets. He is an Academic All-Ohio Athletic Conference player (2003-2004) and one of the top playmakers ever to wear the Brown & Gold.

Harrington currently averages 7.9 points-per-game for the 11-3 overall Yellow Jackets and leads the OAC in assists with 87 and is second in assist-to-turnover ratio. Earlier this winter, Harrington scored 23 points and passed for 20 assists as B-W won the season-opening Gettysburg (Pa.) Days Inn Tip-off Tournament and was subsequently named as the tourney Most Valuable Player. A year ago, Harrington led the OAC in assists with 139 and also led in assist-to-turnover ratio.

For his career, Harrington has scored 550 points, grabbed 194 rebounds and is seventh all-time at B-W in assists with 337.

The Yellow Jackets are back in action on Saturday, January 15 when they travel to Marietta, Ohio to play the Marietta College Pioneers in an OAC game at 3:00 p.m.
