Baldwin-Wallace College Junior Tori Davis is Named as Ohio Athletic Conference

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College junior men's basketball player Tori Davis (Elyria/ Open Door Christian School) is this week's Ohio Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Player of the Week. It is the fourth time in Davis' career that he has been honored as a Player of the Week by the OAC.

Davis earned his latest OAC Player of the Week honor for leading the Yellow Jackets to a 2-1 record, including wins against Oberlin College and versus Allegheny (Pa.) College. Against Allegheny, Davis scored 19 points and became the 33rd player in school history to surpass the 1,000 career point plateau. He also was tabbed to the Allegheny Tournament all-tournament team.

For the three-game week, Davis scored 66 points, grabbed 26 rebounds, blocked six shots, passed for five assists and made two steals. He made 27-of-41 shots from the field for 65.9 percent and 12-of-17 foul shots for 70.6 percent. Davis' best game was a 25-point performance in a 96-80 win versus Oberlin.

For the season, Davis leads the Yellow Jackets in scoring in rebounding at 22.8 points per game and 9.0 rpg. He also tops the team with nine blocked shots, is tied for second with four steals and third with 12 assists. Davis has canned 41-of-64 shots from the floor for 64.1 percent and 32-of-45 free throws for 71.1 percent.

During his career, Davis has scored 1,037 points and stands 29th on the all-time scoring list. He was a second-team All-OAC player as a freshman when he also was named to the d3hoops.com All-Freshman team. As a sophomore, Davis was a first-team All-OAC and second-team All-Great Lakes Region pick.

Davis and the Yellow Jackets return to action this Saturday, December 3 when they travel to Westerville, Ohio to open OAC play against Otterbein College at 3:00 p.m.
