Brothers Thad and Tori Davis are Named to the D3hoops.com All-Great Lakes Region All-Star Team

BEREA, OHIO -- Brothers Thad and Tori Davis (Elyria/ Open Door Christian School), who were key members of this year's Baldwin-Wallace College men's basketball team, have been named to the D3hoops.com internet web site All-Great Lakes Region All-Star team.

Thad Davis, a senior, was tabbed to the first-team, and younger brother, Tori, a sophomore, was named to the second-team. The duo helped the Yellow Jackets compile a 20-9 overall record, win two regular season tournaments and the 2005 Ohio Athletic Conference Tournament title and advance B-W to the NCAA Division III National Tournament. By virtue of his first-team selection, Thad Davis now qualifies for the D3hoops.com Division III All-American ballot.

Thad Davis was tabbed to the D3hoops.com All-Region squad for the second straight year. He ended his career as one of the best inside players in B-W and OAC history. The 2005 OAC Gregory Award winner, symbolic of the OAC's Most Valuable Player, had 1,921 career points to rank second all-time at B-W and 14th all-time in OAC history. His 986 career rebounds are fourth all-time at the College and 21st all-time in OAC history. In addition, his 190 career blocked shots is a school-record. Thad Davis was a three-time All-OAC player, including a two-time first-team pick (2004 and 2005), a Division III preseason All-America pick (2004-2005), a two-time NABC All-Great Lakes Region choice (2004-2005), a seven-time OAC Player of the Week, a four-time all-tournament team pick and the Most Valuable Player at this year's Hampden-Sydney (Va.) tournament. This season, Thad Davis averaged 20.0 points and 11.4 rebounds per game to lead the OAC in both catagories. Earlier this season, he also was tabbed to the D3hoops.com "Team of the Week" for his performances against Case Western Reserve University and against Thiel (Pa.) College. He set a career-high with 37 points scored against Thiel.

Tori Davis was tabbed to the D3hoops.com All-Region team for the first time but is not unfamiliar with winning awards from the internet web site. He earned first-team All-OAC honors this year and is en route to joining Jason Schefft as quite possibly just the second player in Yellow Jacket basketball history to be a four-time All-OAC player. Tori Davis was second on the team and OAC in scoring (19.0 ppg.) and rebounding (8.6 rpg.) and first on the team in field goal shooting (60.7 percent) and set a B-W single-season record and led the OAC with 64 blocked shots. He also tied another school single-game record by making all 11 of his foul shots in a career-high 41-point performance in the OAC tourney win at Otterbein in overtime. He earned OAC Player of the Week honors three times to give him five for his career. Tori Davis also was tabbed to both the Hampden-Sydney and OAC all-tournament teams. After just two years at B-W, Tori Davis has 923 points, 451 rebounds and 120 blocked shots and is canning 59.4 percent of his field goals and 70 percent of his foul shots.
