BEREA, OHIO — The Baldwin-Wallace College men's and women's indoor track and field teams each competed at the B-W Mid February Meet tonight (Feb. 10). The meet was not scored.
The women had five individuals who claimed victories in the meet. Sophomore Kara Weaver (Myrtle Creek, Ore./South Umpqua) won the 55 meter dash with a time of 7.46. Senior Courtney Stelzer (Westerville/Sunbury Big Walnut) won the 400 meter dash with a time of 1:04.54, sophomore Rihana Knotts (Middletown/Madison) won the 500 meter run in a time of 1:26.21, junior Rebecca Price (Worthington/Thomas Worthington) posted a victory in the 1000 meter run in a time of 3:16.03 and junior Kim Lammers (Liberty Center) won the shot put with a throw of 41'2.5".
The men had three individuals who earned victories in their respective events as well. Freshman Aaron Apathy (Parma/Padua) won the 500 meter run with a time of 1:08.34, senior Ian Gibson (Painesville/Harvey) won the long jump with a mark of 20'10.75" and junior Adam Eltrich (Lorain/Amherst Steele) won the weight throw with a toss of 47'10.5".
The Yellow Jackets will return to action next Friday, Feb. 18 when they host the Annual Greater Cleveland College Indoor Track & Field Championships Meet at 4:30 in the B-W Recreation Center Fieldhouse and on the Harrison Dillard Track.
Two Weeks From Now -- On Friday, Feb. 25, B-W will travel to Ada, Ohio to compete in the Ohio Northern Friday Night Series Meet.
This Year's OAC Championship Meet is at Marietta -- Track & Field Championship Meet is scheduled for March 4-5 at Marietta College.
