BEREA, OHIO -- The Lady Yellow Jackets finished third with 88 points and the men fifth with 72 points at the OAC Relays Track Meet hosted by B-W at the Harrison Dillard Track.
The lone relay winner for the women's team was the 4x800-meter relay, comprised of seniors Abby Cominsky (Fremont/Ross) and Stacey Havaich (Austintown/Fitch) and freshmen Rihana Knotts (Middletown/Madison) and Megan Via (Brookville), with a time of 9:56. Also winning for the women was sophomore Amy Mauceri (Solon) in the unscored women's weight throw with a throw of 38'7.50".
For the men, the only winners came in the throwing events. Seniors Alex Johnson (Olmsted Falls) and Jon Shoffstall (Lakeville/Indian Lake) won the shot put relay by taking first and third individually. Johnson was first with a throw of 50'10" and Shoffstall third with a throw of 45'1.50". Shoffstall also won the unscored men's weight throw with a career best of 45'10"
The Yellow Jackets will next be action next Friday night February 6 when they travel to run at the Case Western Reserve Meet which begans at 6:00 p.m..
