B-W Freshman Catcher Nicole Loudin Named as a Louisville SLUGGER/ NFCA Second-Team All-American

loudin.jpgBEREA, OHIO --  Baldwin-Wallace College freshman softball catcher Nicole Loudin (Sheffield Lake/ Elyria Catholic) has been named as a Louisville Slugger/ National Fastpitch Coaches Association Division III second-team All-American.  Loudin is the first B-W freshman to ever be named to that team.

This spring, Loudin, who transferred to B-W last fall from NCAA Division I Bucknell University, batted .388 with a single-season school-record 10 home runs nd 41 runs batted-in.  She also scored 27 runs, had six doubles, one triple and a team-leading .702 slugging average.  Loudin was named as a first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference player, the OAC's Rookie of the Year and as a first-team All-Central Region choice.

The Yellow Jacket softball team finished the 2003 season at 25-16 overall and placed second during both the OAC regular season and at the OAC Tournament.
