BEREA, OHIO -- Chris Kibler returns to Baldwin-Wallace College as an assistant men's basketball coach after spending the past five years at NCAA Division II Gannon (Pa.) University.
A 1994 graduate of the College who earned his Master’s degree in Sports Administration at Kent State University in 1998, Kibler helped Gannon to a 105-39 record during the past five years, including four straight NCAA Division II Tournament appearances.
Following graduation from KSU in the Spring of 1994, Kibler served as an assistant coach at Centenary College in Hackettstown, New Jersey. From 1996-98, Kibler served as an assistant coach at B-W and helped the Yellow Jackets win an OAC Tournament title and earn and spot to host a first round NCAA Division III Tournament contest.
While as a student at B-W, Kibler majored in business administration, sport management and pre-law. He also worked in the sports information office. At B-W, Kibler is responsible for assisting Head Coach Steve Bankson with all apects of game and practice situations as well as scouting and recruiting. He will also serve as the Head Men’s Golf Coach.
"We are pleased to welcome Chris back to Baldwin-Wallace College as the head assistant coach in our men's basketball program," said Bankson, who is the winningest coach in Yellow Jacket history. "Chris had an outstanding five years at Gannon and will add a great deal to our program and staff.
"Chris a young man with great energy and enthusiasm," said Bankson. "He has also been an active recruiter and scout of the opposition. We feel that he will be a solid addition in basketball program and a great leader as our head men's golf coach. We look forward to working with Chris."
Kibler is a native of New Concord, Ohio and a graduate of John Glenn High School.
