Three Baldwin Wallace Student-Athletes Named to ESPN THE MAGAZINE Football and Volleyball Teams

BEREA, OHIO --  Two Baldwin Wallace University football and one volleyball student-athletes have been named to the 2008 ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV teams.
 
The football players are first-team senior offensive lineman Jon Wilson (Brooklyn Heights/ Cuyahoga Heights) and second-team senior offensive lineman Broc Dial (Canal Fulton/ Northwest) and the volleyball player is third-team sophomore libero/ defensive specialist Lissy Grame (Berea)Wilson now qualifies for the ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-America ballot.

Wilson and Dial are members of an offensive line that has helped to produce more than 400 yards of offense and 29 points per game this season for the 4-4 overall Yellow Jackets who play at Wilmington College this Saturday at 1:30 p.m.
 
Wilson carries a 3.67 grade point average in mathematics and intends on attending graduate school next fall. The two-year starter at tackle is a Dean’s List student and a member of the Alpha Lambda, Omicron Delta Kappa Math and Kappa Mu Epsilon Economics honor societies.  Dial carries a 3.391 grade average in history and education and intends to teach history and coach football. The two-year starter and three-year varsity contributor is a repeat second-team ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District choice.
 
Grame started for the second straight season for the volleyball squad and alternated this season between libero and defensive specialist. She carries a 3.85 grade point average in education and hopes to teach English and coach following graduation. This season, she led the Yellow Jackets with 348 defensive digs and was among the team leaders with 19 service aces. After two seasons, Grame has 634 career digs and 44 aces. The volleyball team ended its season with a 13-21 overall record.
