Baldwin Wallace Duo Named to All-North Region Team by d3football.com

BEREA, OHIO --  Baldwin Wallace University senior punter Kevin Soflkiancs (Middleburg Heights/ Midpark) and senior linebacker Luke Chronister (Ashland/ Senior) have been named to the 2007 d3football.com Division III All-North Region team. Soflkiancs was a first-team selection and Chronister made the third-team.

Soflkiancs recently ended one of the most prolific careers in the history of Yellow Jacket football and is the first-ever four-time first-team All-Ohio Athletic Conference selection. The 2-time Division III All-American (2004 and 2006 with the 2007 teams still to be announced) and 2-time ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-American led all of Division III in punting twice (2004 and 2006) and led the OAC in punting for four straight years. Soflkiancs had a BW career-record average of 43.0, including a single-season record 43.7-yard average in 2007 that ranked second in Div. III. He also was a four-time All-North Region choice (three times by d3football.com and as a freshman by The Football Gazette) as well as a three-time first-team Academic All-OAC and three-time first-team ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV student-athlete.

Chronister had his best season as a collegian in 2007 when he led the OAC in tackles with 118, which was 12 more than his nearest competitor. He was a first-team All-OAC and first-team Academic All-OAC choice. The three-year starter at linebacker ended his career with 235 tackles, including 25 for loss. He also was an honorable mention All-OAC and Academic All-OAC pick as a junior.
