Women's Cross Country Team Ties For 8th Place at the NCAA D-III National Meet

BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin-Wallace College women's cross country team finished an all-time school-best eighth today at the NCAA Division III National Cross Country Championship Meet at St. Olaf College in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Senior Jessica Textoris (Medina Highland High School), earned Div. III All-American honors as she led the Yellow Jackets with a 26th place individual showing. In addition, senior Lynn Katanik (Parma Padua) was 38th, senior Nicole Drouhard (Austintown Fitch) was 65th, junior Jen Southall (Willoughby South) was 69th and senior Tara Gruskiewicz (Williamsfield/ Pymatuning Valley) was 87th.

This was the sixth all-time trip to the Div. III national meet for B-W and the fourth straight. The previous Yellow Jacket best was a 12th place showing in 2000. A year ago, B-W was 20th and in 1999, the Yellow Jackets placed 17th.
