BEREA, OHIO - The women's cross country team finished in fifth and the men in 11th among Division III schools at the All-Ohio meet held at Ohio Wesleyan University on October 10th. The top finisher for the women was senior Jennifer Southall (Willoughby/South) whose time of 19:12.10 was good enough for third place.
Along with Southall the women were led by junior Lisa Bartkiewicz (Berea) who finished 18th in a time of 20:04.40, junior Lindsay Bukovec (Willowick/Eastlake North) was 22nd with a time of 20:14.80, senior Khara Sosko (Ellwood City, Pa./Riverside) ran a 20:35.40 to finish in 34th place and Megan Via (Brookville) rounded out the top five finishers for B-W finishing in 36th place with a time of 20:39.70.
The men's team was led by freshman Chris Buhovecky (Brunswick/Padua) whose time of 27:43.80 was good enough for 13th place.
Senior Brian Adkins (Berea) who ran a 28:59.50 and senior Jason Ream (Burton/Berkshire), who ran a 29:07.70 along with freshman John Townsend (Chardon), who finished in 29:31.70, and junior Josh Fetzer (Ashland) who finished in 29:58.90 rounded out the top five finishers for B-W.
The Yellow Jackets will next run on Saturday, October 18 at the University of Rochester(NY) Invitational at 10 a.m.
