BEREA, OHIO--The Baldwin-Wallace College women's cross country team won its fifth meet title in six weeks of competition this fall when they captured the annual All-Ohio Division III Invitational Meet title on Friday at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware. For the Yellow Jacket women, it was their seventh straight All-Ohio Division III title and eighth overall since 1993. The B-W men finished 20th overall and sixth in Division III.
Individually for the women, Yellow Jacket senior Jessica Textoris (Akron/ Medina Highland) finished 16th overall and was first among NCAA Division III runners to become the All-Ohio Division III champion. This is the fourth individual meet title for her this year (see more later).
The B-W women were sixth of 39 schools overall and first of 21 Division III schools with 231 points. Division I the UNiversity of Toledo won the overall women's meet title. By finishing sixth, B-W beat Div. I teams such as Bowling Green, Cincinnati, Ohio State, Dayton, Ohio University and Division II teams such as the University of Ashland and the
University of Findlay. The Yellow Jacket women also kept their unbeaten streak against Division III competition alive and are now 49-0 in 2002.
The B-W men were 20th of 39 schools overall and sixth of 21 Div. III teams. They also beat Div. I teams like BGSU.
Individually, Textoris placed 16th of 267 total runners and finished the 5,000 meter course in 19:02. She was also one of two B-W women to finish in the top five of the Division III race. Following Textoris was fellow senior Nicole Drouhard (Canfield/Austintown Fitch) in 33rd place overall and fourth among Div. III runners in 19:43.8. Also, senior Lynn Katanik (Parma Padua) 45th overall and eighth in Div. III in 19:55.4, senior Tara Gruskiewicz (Williamsfield/ Pymatuning Valley) was 66th overall and 14th in Div. III in 20:08 and junior Jen Southall (Willoughby South) was 71st overall and 17th in Div. III in 20:10.6.
Individually for the men, senior Brad Geletka (Kirtland) had the best time as he finished the 8,000 meter course in 27:46 overall. It placed him 64th overall and 18th among Div. III runners. Also placing in the Top 100 overall were junior Bob Magyar (Lyndhurst/ Brush) in 95th place in 28:20.5 and senior Mike Miklavcic (Euclid) in 100th place in 28:29.1.
The Yellow Jacket men and women will next run on Saturday, October 19 when they travel to Rochester, New York to run at the University of Rochester Invitational Meet. It is set to begin at 11:00 a.m.

Women's Titles -- The B-W women have won titles at CWRU, the Division III crown at BGSU, Otterbein, Ohio Northern and the All-Ohio at OWU.
All-Ohio Meet Success -- In terms of the All-Ohio Division III title. B-W has now won seven in a row (1997-2002) and eight overall (also won it in 1993). B-W has either been first or second at every All-Ohio Div. III meet since 1992.
Textoris' Success -- Jessica Textoris has now won individual meet titles at CWRU, Otterbein, ONU and the All-Ohio Division III. Textoris is also the reigning OAC champion in outdoor track in the 3000 meter steeplechase.
More Textoris...And Geletka --Jessica Textoris and Brad Geletka have led the women and men, respectively, all six weeks this fall. Textoris has four individual meet titles and Geletka one.
