Division III National Championship Meet.

OBERLIN, OHIO -- Baldwin Wallace University junior Kenny Janosko (Mentor) placed sixth individually and the Yellow Jacket women’s cross country team placed seventh and the men finished 19th today (Saturday, November 12, 2011) at the NCAA Division III Great Lakes Regional Meet at Oberlin College.

By placing sixth of 243 total runners, Janosko qualifies for next week’s NCAA Division III National Championship Meet at the University of Wisconsin Oshkosh. He covered the 8K course in 24:56.38. This will be his first trip to the Division III national meet.

"Kenny ran an outstanding race," said veteran Yellow Jacket Head Coach Dr. Bill Taraschke. " Each season, Kenny has gotten better and better.  And, that isn't by accident. He has worked very hard to accomplish many of his goals.

"Kenny beat every OAC runner at the Regional Meet and that was impressive to see," said Taraschke. "We are hoping that he has still saved his best effort of the season for the national meet."

The BW women scored 312 points and placed seventh of 36 total teams. The Yellow Jacket men had 501 points to place 19th of 35 OAC schools.
