Baldwin Wallace University Junior Ken Janosko Named OAC Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week

Unscored Wooster Meet

BEREA, OHIO — Baldwin Wallace University junior All-Great Lakes Region runner Ken Janosko (Mentor) is this week’s Ohio Athletic Conference Men’s Cross Country Runner of the Week. It marks the first time in his career that Janosko has earned an OAC weekly honor in cross country.

Last Thursday, September 1, 2011, Janosko won the four-mile run at the College of Wooster Invitational Meet at the L.C. Boles Memorial Golf Course.  He finished the course in a time of 21:36.89 to led the BW men in its first meet of the season.

Last season in cross-country, Janosko earned All-Great Lakes Region honors for his 24th place finish at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional in 25:47.8 and All-OAC honors with a third place finish at the OAC Championships with a time of 25:45.  

In indoor track, he became the OAC 5000-meter run champion after placing first with a time of 15:15.59 at the OAC Indoor Track and Field Championships.

The Yellow Jackets next compete on Saturday, Sept. 10 when they travel to Delaware to compete at the Ohio Wesleyan University Invitational Meet at 10:00 a.m.
