B-W's D'Arcy Hlavin Named OAC Runner of the Week
BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College senior D'Arcy Hlavin (Berea) has been named as the Ohio Athletic Conference Runner of the Week for her performance at the All-Ohio Championships this past Friday.
Hlavin, the reigning OAC individual champion and 2008 OAC Runner of the Year, earned her honor for leading B-W to a third place finish of 21 schools and for finishing 12th individually at the annual All-Ohio Division III Championship Meet last Friday (Oct. 2) in Delaware, Ohio. Hlavin, who carries a 3.64 grade average in pre-physical therapy and is both All-OAC and Academic All-OAC, completed the 5K course in 19:53.3 and has led the Yellow Jackets in four of five meets this season.
Hlavin and the Yellow Jackets, now 43-8 overall, are idle this weekend and compete again on Oct. 10 at the Oberlin College Inter-Regional Meet.
