After two scoreless innings to open the first game, BW opened up a 2-0 lead in the top of the third inning and added two more in the fifth.  JCU answered with two runs in the bottom of the fifth, but solid pitching from sophomore righthander Scott Luthman (Celina) in the sixth and seventh innings sealed the 4-2 victory for the Yellow Jackets.
On the mound, junior righthander Jim Jaskowak (Grove City, Pa./ Grove City) started and improved to 3-0 for the season as he worked five innings and gave up only two runs on seven hits.  His four strikeouts give him a team-leading 23 for the season.  Luthman worked the sixth and seventh innings and earned his first save of the season and his career.  He only needed to face seven batters to record his six outs.
