Baldwin Wallace University Baseball Team Splits With Capital
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University baseball team split a pair of games against Capital University in an Ohio Athletic Conference doubleheader today (Saturday, March 31, 2007) at Heritage Field in Berea. The Crusaders won the opener, 5-3, and the Yellow Jackets won the nightcap, 4-2. It was the OAC opener for both teams.
Today’s twinbill was dubbed as the BW Baseball Benefit to Bluffton Baseball as the Yellow Jackets asked for donations to benefit the Bluffton University baseball team which had a tragic bus crash on its way to Florida this spring.
With its split, the Yellow Jackets are now 7-9 overall and 1-1 in the OAC. Capital is 7-7 overall and 1-1 in the OAC.

In addition to Kreisher at the plate, five other Yellow Jackets each had one base hit, including senior catcher Bob Soresina (Canton/ GlenOak), who drove in the first BW run of the game in the second.

After a walk to designated hitter Matt Bolte (Jupiter, Fla./ Williams T. Dwyer), junior outfielder Mike Brisky (Berea) doubled home Kreisher. Bolte and Brisky then scored on a single by Storesina.
