Cody Kidd Named to ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District Baseball Team

BEREA, OHIO -- Baldwin-Wallace College sophomore centerfielder Cody Kidd (Wellington) has been named to the 2007 ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District IV Baseball Second-Team for his efforts on the field and in the classroom.

Kidd, a biology and pre-med major, carries a 3.72 grade point average was a second-team All-District IV selection for the first time in his career.  On the playing field, he is one of the top centerfielders in the Ohio Athletic Conference.  At the plate, Kidd finished the season first on the team in batting average at .382 with 47 base hits in 123 at bats including four doubles, four triples, three home runs and 22 runs-batted-in.  He also had a .553 slugging percentage and a .974 fielding percentage defensively.

CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America) members from the district (all NCAA Division II, III and NAIA institutions in Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky, Tennessee and Alabama) nominate and select the teams.
