Assistant Coach John Ulanski

John Ulanski '11 is entering his first season on the Baldwin Wallace University baseball coaching staff in 2011-12. He is coaching the catchers and assisting with the Yellow Jacket hitters, as well as helping out with recruiting.

Ulanski was a two-year letterman behind the plate at BW. During just his short two-year career, he complied a .300 batting average along with 33 runs batted in, 13 stolen bases and an on-base percentage of .403.

During his senior year, Ulanski was awarded the Big Stick Award for his hitting exploits. The senior cleanup hitter batted .279 with a .351 slugging average. He had 31 hits, four doubles and led the team with 23 RBI.  He also had a .362 on-base percentage and had the lowest strikeout percentage of anyone on the team.

Before transferring to BW in 2009, Ulanski spent first two years of his college career at Ashland University where he was a member of the 2008 DII College World Series team.

Ulanski is a graduate from Bay Village High School and goes from the playing field to the coaching staff after graduating in 2011 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sport Management from BW.
