Notes: Methodist University freshman Ruby Blackwell won the 200-meter national championship in a wind-aided time of 23.80 seconds, which ties for the fifth fastest time in Division III. Illinois Wesleyan senior Amanda LaRocca was second in 24.02 and Robin Yerkes of Roanoke College was third in 24.17.

As a freshman on your first outdoor national stage, how does it feel? “It is just blowing my mind. I can’t say that I did it all by myself. I mean my coaches and my teammates, they had my back all year. They really pushed me to keep me on track.”
As a freshman, what was your thought process coming in? “I would just pray, go out and stretch, pray, and then go out and stretch some more. I would then go out and clear my mind of everything else, and just focus on what I learned in practice. It turned out well.”
