Men's 100-Meter Dash
Notes: Springfield College senior Stephen Headley won the 100-meter title for the second year in a row in a time of 10.33 seconds, which ranks as the seventh fastest performance in Division III history. It was also a Finnie Stadium record. Salisbury senior Delannie Spriggs was runner-up for the second year in a row in 10.48. Wheaton (Mass.) College sophomore Cailean Robinson was third in 10.58.

What does it feel like to back-to-back champion in this event? “It feels great. It’s a lot of hard work and it’s very rewarding. The first time is such a cool thing, but it’s definitely harder the second time around just to repeat and people are gunning for you this time. It’s just great to know that all my hard work paid off in the end.”
How much harder was it to get focused this year compared to last year? “It was pretty easy. I was fortunate to win last year at indoors as a junior. This indoor meet, I lost it and that really drove me to push myself and get better and better. It was a wake-up call, and it was very easy to stay motivated from that point on.”
What’s next for you? I have the 200 coming up here in a couple minutes. But, this summer I will be running for Barbados and we will be touring the world. It’s been a great experience, and I am very blessed.”
