Men's 4x100-Meter Relay

Notes: Wheaton (Mass.) College won the national title in the 4x100-meter relay in a time of 40.77 seconds. Springfield College, who finished sixth last year, was second in 41.05 and Methodist University, fifth a year ago, was third in 41.20.

How they improved from last year’s nationals to this spring:
Merzudin Ibric: “It was a great experience for us to be there last year in Marietta. It definitely helped build us for this year’s national meet. We had three legs that returned this season. We just believed in each other and we really came together and so happy that it came together at the right time and we’re so very happy.”
On how the race transpired from their point of view:
Mark Cimino: “I felt very good coming out of the blocks for the first leg. Actually Thursday in the trials, we actually messed up our three handoffs, so we were weren’t positioned in a lane very well. I came out flying, we hit our zones perfectly and then I handed it off to Merzudin.”
Cailean Robinson: “I was really trying to get the baton quickly from Merzudin. I really focused on getting the baton cleanly to Raiyan and finishing my leg very strong.”
