Notes: Salisbury senior Cory Beebe defended his national title in the men's 400-meter hurdles in a stadium time of 51.19. Beebe became a four-time All-American. Ben Zill of Wisconsin-Oshkosh was runner-up for the second year in a row in a time of 52.07. Emory senior Alex Greenhouse was third in 52.22.

What it means to finish your career on that top step of the podium: “It means a lot after having to go through some tough times after being a two-time All-American in this event and then transferring to Salisbury. It meant a lot to get through all my injuries and grab those two awards early in my career. I came back and was able to get on top last year at the outdoor meet at Marietta.”
Did winning last year help you relax heading into this outdoor meet? “It did help me to relax. I knew coming in that I had that target on my back. I came into this meet as the No. 1 seed at I think 50.66 which I posted just a few weeks ago, so I knew I had high hopes coming in. A lot of people knew who I was coming back this year, so I definitely felt like there was a lot more pressure.”
What’s next for you? “I am really hoping to qualify for the US Nationals. I want to compete at the Drake Relays out in Des Moines with all the Division I guys and the all the pros.”
