B-W Broadcasted an OAC-Record Football-Soccer Tripleheader on Oct. 17... The B-W versus Muskingum University football game and its women's and men's soccer doubleheader versus Muskingum ALL were broadcast by SportsTime Ohio. It was the first time an Ohio Athletic Conference institution attempted the feat. The Yellow Jackets won all three events.
The men's soccer team finished a highly successful season at 13-7-1 overall and 13-2-1 in its final 16 matches. Five Yellow Jackets were named to the 2009 All-Ohio Athletic Conference men’s soccer team announced on Wednesday, November 11. Senior goalkeeper Russ Mika (Medina/ Senior) also was tabbed as the OAC’s Goalkeeper of the Year. In addition, Mike and junior midfielder Jeff Grater (Stow/ Stow-Munroe Falls) were named ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV. The duo also earned Academic All-OAC honors along with senior Andy Synk (Strongsville). Grater and senior captain Nate Smith (Ashland/ Senior) earned NSCAA/adidas All-Great Lakes Region honors.

Stephanie Geiger
The women's soccer team finished 6-12-2 overall and 2-7 in the OAC. Senior sweeper Stephanie Geiger (Berea) and senior defender Tyler Fridley (Niles/ McKinley) were named to the 2009 All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. The duo also earned ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV honors and Academic All-OAC status. Junior midfielders Ellie Reinbrecht (Sylvania/ Toledo St. Ursula) and Liz Rice (Wooster/ Triway) were also selected to the academic all-conference team.

Brandon Fast
The football team finished 3-7 overall. Senior wide receiver Matt Dash (Medina/ Buckeye) and senior defensive end Brandon Fast (Ashland/ Senior) were named to the 2009 ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV team. Each was tabbed as a second-team selection. Five Yellow Jackets also were selected to the 2009 All-Ohio Athletic Conference team. Earning second-team All-OAC honors were Fast, junior linebacker Ryan Kish (Amherst/ Marion Steele) and sophomore safety Ryan Dugan (Mentor). Honorable mention status went to senior offensive tackle Brett Scarl (North Olmsted) and senior quarterback Anthony Gardner (Rocky River/ Lakewood St. Edward). Four Yellow Jackets also earned Academic All-OAC status.

D'Arcy Hlavin
The women's cross country team won the 2009 OAC title, its 16th all-time, and the men placed fifth at the OAC Championship Meet in Wilmington. The women also placed fifth at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III National Cross Country Meet hosted by B-W on November 21, 2009 at Highland Park Golf Course in Cleveland. The Yellow Jackets placed 29th overall at nationals. Senior D'Arcy Hlavin (Berea) and junior Kim Chinn (Zanesville/ West Muskingum) each earned all-region honors.
