2008 Fall Highlights


Allie Wojtkun

Highlighting the 2008-2009 fall season was senior women's soccer ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-America selection Allie Wojtkun (North Olmsted/ Magnificat). The women's soccer team ended its season at 7-9-3 overall. 

Senior women's cross country runner Ashley Scullion (Kentwood, Mich.) and junior teammate D'Arcy Hlavin (Berea) finished 94th and 182nd, respectively, of 279 total runners at the NCAA Division III National Championship Meet at Hanover (Ind.) College. Hlavin was named the 2008 OAC Women's Cross Country Runner of the Year.


Joe Kowalski

The football team was 5-5 overall and 5-4 in the OAC and senior defensive tackle Joe Kowalski (Macedonia/Nordonia) was named to the D3football.com All-North Region team.

The men's tennis team competed at the ITA (www.itatennis.com) Tournament in St. Louis, Mo.


Andy Synk

The men's soccer team, ended another successful season with a 12-6-1 overall record. Junior midfielder Andy Synk (Strongsville) was named NSCAA Great Lakes All-Region. The Yellow Jackets earned the program's highest ever national ranking when they were tabbed seventh in the nation by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America in early October.

The men's golf team concluded its fall season with a 26-21-2 overall record.

The women's golf team ended its six-tournament fall season. 


Lissy Grame

The volleyball team ended the 2008 season at 13-21 overall.
