Division III National Poll
BEREA, OHIO -- The Baldwin Wallace University men's basketball team, 4-0 overall, moved up one spot in this week's D3hoops.com Division III national poll that was released on Monday, November 29.
The Yellow Jackets won a pair of games last week as they defeated Cleveland cross-town rival Case Western Reserve, 94-91, and nonleague foe Thiel, Pa., 86-82, to move from 13th to 12th. BW began the year ranked 16th in the D3hoops.com preseason poll.
This week, BW hosts traditional rival Oberlin College on Wednesday, December 1, at the Ursprung Gymnasium at 8:00 p.m. and then opens 2004-2005 Ohio Athletic Conference play when it hosts Otterbein College on Saturday, Dec. 4, at 3:00 p.m. Wednesday's game against Oberlin can be heard locally on campus radio station, WBW, 88.3 FM, and via the College internet Web site at www.bw.edu/athletics. The pregame show begins on Wednesday at 7:45 p.m. On Saturday, WBW will carry live game updates during its broadcast of the BW women's game at Otterbein.
The BW versus Otterbein game, although it is the OAC-opener for each team, will be key. BW was picked by the OAC Coaches to win the OAC title in 2005 in its preseason poll, and Otterbein was picked second.
