Select members of the Yellow Jacket track team travel to Meadville, Pennsylvania to participate in the Allegheny College Gator Invitational Meet. The College will break ground on a 2-million dollar renovation of the track and playing field at The George Finnie Stadium. The field will now be known as Tressel Field. The three Tressel brothers, Dick '70, Dave '73 and Jim '75 all will be here to join in the celebration during Alumni Weekend 2008. Yellow Jacket senior second baseman Nate Luken (Dayton/ Chaminade Julienne) and junior centerfielder Cody Kidd (Wellington) have been named as first-team ESPN THE MAGAZINE Academic All-District IV picks and now qualify for the national Academic All-America ballot. The softball team improved throughout its season in Tom Spencer's first year back at the College as the head coach. The baseball team swept Wilmington College in an OAC doubleheader in Wilmington to end its season at 19-19-1 overall and 9-9 in the OAC.
