Alumni Benefits

Alumni Benefits
As a member of the Baldwin Wallace community, you have access to a number of University-sponsored resources.

To access many of the discounts and services outlined below, you may need to show an Alumni ID card. For more information or to request your ID card, call (440) 826-2104 or (888) BW-ALUM or email bwalumni@bw.edu. You also may visit the Alumni House at 279 Front Street for an alumni card during normal business hours (8:30 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday).

Networking & Social Events
Throughout the year, BW alumni re-connect on campus, near campus and throughout the U.S. for social and networking events. From Homecoming to holiday receptions to Alumni Celebration to BW Day at Cedar Point, we offer something for all ages and interests. Check out the alumni event calendar to find an event that fits your schedule. We can’t wait to see you!

BW Bookstore Discount
Alumni may access a 5 percent discount when shopping the BW Bookstore for BW and YJ4L gear and other products. To check out the latest inventory and specials, visit the Bookstore.

Career Services
The Office of Career Services offers alumni access to career exploration resources and free career advising appointments during designated times of the year. For more information, contact the Office of Career Services at (440) 826-2101, career@bw.edu or stop by the Career Services Office on the first floor of Bonds, 275 Eastland Road, Berea, Ohio.

Lou Higgins Recreation Center
Alumni may use BW's recreational facilities during regular operating hours at a $10 per person, per day fee. You may bring one guest. (The $10 fee also applies to your guest.) This fee was designed for alumni visiting from out of town. Due to classes and other student activities happening in the Lou Higgins Recreation Center every day, it is not able to accommodate large numbers of alumni.

Ritter Library
Alumni with a Cuyahoga County Public Library card or a Clevnet Great Access card, can borrow materials from Ritter Library via an OhioLINK loan.  OhioLINK policies apply to these loans. These loans are possible because both Ritter Library and the Cuyahoga County Public Library system belong to the OhioLINK consortium. (Note that the Cleveland Public Library system is not a member of OhioLINK.)

Professional Development Programs
BW is committed to helping its students and alumni maintain their dedication to lifelong learning. That's why we offer special seminars and workshops throughout the year through the Center for Professional Development. Geared toward individuals or teams, courses will help you develop or refine important skills for today’s marketplace. Call (440) 826-2253 or e-mail bwpd@bw.edu for more information.

Alumni Audit
Interested in taking courses you never got around to while you were a student? Alumni are welcome to audit (not for credit) any undergraduate course on a space-available basis for a reduced cost per semester credit hour. Call the Office of Registration & Records at (440) 826-2126 for information and registration procedures.

Part-Time Tuition Discount
Since 2009, BW has offered a 20 percent discount to alumni who are qualified part-time undergraduate students. This discount may apply to spouses and other family members of alumni as well.

Full-Time Alumni Scholarship
Children and grandchildren of Baldwin Wallace graduates are eligible to receive an Alumni Scholarship Award of $2,000 per year when they are enrolled as full-time students.
