QUALIFICATIONS FOR NOMINEES
ATHLETE:
1. An athlete's class must have graduated at least ten years prior to selection.
COACH/ATHLETIC ADMINISTRATOR:
1. A coach or athletic administrator must have lettered at Baldwin-Wallace or served on the B-W staff at least ten (10) years, and must be retired, prior to selection.
HONORARY:
1. An Honorary Hall of Fame candidate must have made a significant impact on the B-W athletic program, or in regional, state, national or international levels of athletics.
2. An Honorary candidate would not otherwise qualify as an athlete or as a coach or athletic administrator.
SUGGESTED CRITERIA:
1. Level of competition awards, recognitions, etc.
2. Leadership.
3. Impact on athletic program
4. All-Star teams, honors, conference
5. School record holders, etc
6. Community involvement and citizenship
PROCEDURE:
All alumni are encouraged to send their nominations NOW. Detailed information on the nominees will be prepared and the selection committee will pick a maximum of four inductees. (In special circumstances, the selection committee shall have the power to make exceptions.) The remaining candidates will be considered for selection for five years from the date of their most current nomination. We urge members to renominate candidates they believe worthy.
SELECTION COMMITTEE – Composed of at least 10 persons:
1. President of Baldwin-Wallace College, or his designee.
2. Athletic Director of Baldwin-Wallace College.
3. Officers of the Association.
4. Two members of the Association.
5. Four members of the B-W Athletic Hall of Fame.
6. Director of the Office of Alumni and Parents Relations.
