The Right Choice?
Maybe this will help.

Why is BW the right choice for my child?

Q. What kind of education will my child get at BW?

A. One of quality. Rooted in the liberal arts for more than 150 years, BW offers your child the chance to earn a degree that employers and graduate school admission committees value. Recent U.S. News and World Report listings of America's Best Colleges rank BW among the top colleges and universities in the Midwest.

Q. Will my child be safe at BW?

A. BW's location in Berea, Ohio (pop. 19,000) is 20 minutes southwest of the Cleveland lakefront. This picturesque campus setting, coupled with our creative residence life and security programs has resulted in an excellent safety record. According to the Federal Uniform Crime Reports, BW's campus consistently ranks among the safest in Ohio. Come for a visit and see for yourself!

Q. Practical experience is important to finding a job in today's marketplace. Can I count on BW to provide my child with hands-on experience?

A. Each year, BW students participate in hundreds of internships in the Cleveland metropolitan area and beyond--including positions with Fortune 500 companies, international corporations, human service agencies, government bureaus, medical centers, educational organizations, and more.

Q. Making sure my child is exposed to a variety of interests and a diversity of students is important to me. Does BW have a diverse student body?

A. Diversity is reality at BW. All students benefit from multicultural campus organizations like the Hispanic-American Student Association, the Black Student Alliance, and the World Students Association, as well as campus-wide celebrations such as Martin Luther King, Jr., Week and Women's Week.

Q. I want to make sure my child is part of a community of scholars, not just a faceless number in a lecture hall. How important is personal attention at BW?

A. Personal attention isn't just important, it's our motto "Quality education with a personal touch." This committment means that your child will enjoy a low 14:1 student/faculty ratio which allows for individual attention, one-to-one discussions, and hands-on experience in laboratories and classrooms.

Q. How affordable is a BW education?

A. Very!  We work closely with students and their families to make sure that students who wish to attend BW can do so. Financial aid helps make college a reality for more than two-thirds of our full-time students. We distribute more than $40 million in all forms of aid, including $15 million in grants and scholarships. Our tuition is one of the lowest in the region. In fact, U.S. News and World Report recognizes BW as one of the region's "Best Values." We are also included in Peterson's Guide to Competitive Colleges and Rugg's Recommendations on the Colleges.
