Notification of Admission Decision
Baldwin Wallace University has a rolling admission policy; however, it is strongly recommended that high school seniors apply between September and March of their senior year. Priority admission and scholarships are given to students applying prior to March 1. Although students are encouraged to apply before May 1 so they are in a position to meet the priority student deposit deadline, applications will continue to be accepted on a space available basis until the start of the fall semester.
Conservatory Application Timetable
The application and $75 audition fee must be postmarked by November 1 to audition in November; and by January 1 to audition in January or February. Applicants who audition for the Conservatory of Music will be notified of their admission status with the University and Conservatory by December 15 or March 20; after you have auditioned and your application with all supporting credentials is complete.
Please note: Students must be academically admissible to Baldwin Wallace University to be considered for admission to the Conservatory of Music. Students may only reserve an audition date through the application process.
When the number of successful auditions exceeds studio capacity, the Conservatory may establish waiting lists for specific applied areas or majors. If you are placed on a waiting list, you will be informed of your Conservatory admission status.
To be considered for need-based assistance, students must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) to the federal processor after January 1 of their high school senior year. BW’s Federal code number is 003014. You can access the FAFSA form online at www.bw.edu/finaid/. Scholarships and Awards Students are considered for scholarships and awards at the time of the admission review. No separate application is required. Applications must be received by March 1 in order to be considered for competitive scholarship awards. Talent scholarships for music students are awarded in March.
