Degree/Major: Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration with a Minor in Marketing
Career plans upon graduation? I will open an antique store selling vintage clothing, antique furniture as well as new items for home decorating.
Has your coursework affected your career plans? I learned that opening my own store is my passion through my entrepreneurship courses.
What has been your experience with different course formats? Despite the requirement of fast-pace learning and a lot of work in a short period of time, both minimester and immersion courses benefited me greatly.
Any advice for new students? Focus on every class, not because you have to take it, but because each course has unique information that you can use in your life. Education truly is a gift and Baldwin-Wallace is a college that drives its students to be their best.
Faculty person that strongly influenced you: Nancy Jirousek, my advisor, guided me though each semester with a schedule that worked well for me and allowed me to graduate in a timely manner. There is not one professor that I have had that has not taught me to be a better student.
Why did you choose to attend B-W? B-W is a respected college. I wanted classes that were smaller, more personal, where I am not a number in the class, and my professors know me personally.
What do you like best about Baldwin-Wallace College? Program flexibility and the fact that B-W works with all types of students taking into consideration that school is sometimes planned around work-life, family-life and more.
If you attended another college before B-W, please tell us the name of the institution and how many credits transferred: I attended The Ohio State University. I believe only two classes did not transfer.
Please list any information regarding internships or scholarships: I was an intern at Damon’s Grill, through B-W. My title was Local Restaurant Marketing Coordinator and I earned 6 credit hours. I also received a scholarship from B-W when I transfered from OSU.
How is B-W supporting or preparing you to attain your goals? B-W focuses on excellence. Through the staff at B-W, I have been driven to work hard and push through to my degree.
