Why did you choose to attend B-W?
B-W's reputation, the location and fellow co-workers that are B-W students and alumni. I didn't go to college right after high school, so this was a big decision for me. I enrolled in the adult degree completion program as a college freshman. I am having my first child this fall, but I am not worried at all. Everyone at B-W is so flexible that I know I will be able to keep up with my dream of earning a degree as well as enjoy being a first time mom.
What do you like best about Baldwin-Wallace College?
I really like the professors I've had so far. Two professors, Kaber and Loeffler, both were so energetic about their careers and the topics they taught that I couldn't help but be interested in their classes!
I love using the online student services like Blackboard, where I can check my grades, class syllabi and academic program requirements, and Web-Express, how I register for classes. They are very easy to use. And, so far the Evening/Weekend program has been very accommodating, too!
Of the different course formats in the adult degree completion program, I like the accelerated "mini-mesters" the best. You concentrate on the course material for 8 weeks instead of 16, and it seems when you are almost burned out, the class is over! With my busy life, I learn much better with shorter, more focused classes.
