Bachelor of Arts
I graduated from Zion Christian School in 2002 and after an unenjoyable few semesters at a state school I decided to enlist in the Army. After about 8 years in the Army, including four combat tours, it was time to take another path. My wife is from the east side of Cleveland so we moved back to be close to her family and I decided it was a perfect time to finish my degree. BW has been a great experience to far, especially with the ability to take classes at the east campus, in Beachwood.
Questions and answers
What advice would you give to prospective students?
All of BW is a tight knit community, but adult students are even closer. I keep running into the same people, but it makes the classes easier to slip into every time when you start with friends. The opportunities available for all students to learn and grow are great, but in classes I have had with other adult learners I have learned as much or more from other students as I have from the professors.
How did BW help you prepare for life after college?
BW is an amazing school, the accounting program is completely focused on preparing students to sit for the CPA exam. The Business Division works very closely with Career Services to provide students with opportunities for internships and employment after graduation.
How did your courses transfer to BW
All the classes that I did well in during my first try at college transferred just fine and BW also has a generous package of credits that transferred from my military service.
