Although Chicago was a blast, there was a small part of it that wasn’t so much fun… my wallet was stolen. I had it in my backpack because my purse strap broke and I couldn’t use it to carry things around. My wallet was in the back (a very stupid place for me to put it) and it was taken right out of my backpack on the subway by a pickpocket.
The good thing was that I realized it was stolen right away. I canceled my credit cards within ten minutes and had new ones ordered. There were only eight dollars and some change, so I didn’t lose much. The only thing of real value that I lost was my identification card. I need it to fly home in a month, so I’m going to have to figure out how to get on the plane with a different form of I.D. Learn from my mistakes BW, keep your valuables close in a big city!!!
