Last week I got the opportunity to travel to Chicago on the Arts Management Association networking trip. We left on Wednesday evening and traveled by Megabus for seven hours to the city. On Thursday we had the opportunity to network with professionals from the Chicago Arts Club. We were invited into the club and got to discuss and ask questions with arts management professionals who worked there. We also had a little bit of free time on Thursday, so some friends and I went to Millennium Park and saw “The Bean” and the spitting fountain. We walked along Michigan Avenue and State Street to shop for a little as well.
On Friday we got to network with the man who started the “New Music School” in Chicago and a couple of artists who started a studio in the suburbs. On Saturday we had a free day. We took the Red Bus 29 to Navy Pier and walked around for a while. We also got to go to the Lincoln Park Zoo, which is free of charge for everyone!!! It was a great trip.
