Questions and answers
Why did you choose to teach at BW?
I had great respect for the work Vicky Bussert was doing in the Music Theatre program, and she and I had been professional colleagues in the theatre prior to that.
What characteristics distinguish BW from other colleges/universities?
The students have heart. I have come to believe that BW is a heart-centered institution.
How do you mentor students?
I try to teach them that they have the capacity to figure out their own lives, and try to reflect back to them the best version of themselves I know them to be.
What do students like best about your class?
I think they like that I am actively engaged myself in continuing to learn about what I am trying to teach them.
If you weren't teaching what would you be doing?
I would be performing and directing full-time again.
