6. Biography

   Throughout my four years at Baldwin Wallace University, I was involved in many on campus clubs and organizations and thoroughly enjoyed and benefitted from those experiences. Some of my favorite areas of involvement included serving as a Summer Orientation Leader, the Morale Committee Chairperson for Dance Marathon, a class officer, a Resident Assistant in Carmel Hall, and as an intern in the Office of Undergraduate Admission. Knowing that I didn't want to leave these positive experiences behind, I decided to attend graduate school to study higher education.

   I began working toward a Master's Degree in Higher Education Administration at The University of Akron three months after graduation, and started a graduate assistantship in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions at UA at the same time. Nine months into my graduate work, I was offered a full-time Admissions Counselor position at UA and was thrilled to accept. It was without a doubt my dream job and I was elated. My primary responsibilities include recruiting students from Northwestern Ohio and the greater Chicago area, and I could not be more excited to be officially starting my career in higher education!

What is your favorite thing about BW?

The on-campus atmosphere. I have never felt more at home or more comfortable in a place than at BW. The wonderfully friendly, talented, and accepting students, faculty, and staff are second to none and the campus culture as a whole is unmatched.

What advice would you give to prospective students?

Get involved and make the most of your time at BW! The multitude of opportunities to become connected to the campus community and to refine your leadership skills are too great to pass up. You'll meet some of your greatest friends and mentors in college so immerse yourself in both in and out of the classroom activities and don't look back!

What would you have changed about your undergraduate experience?

I really wish I would have studied abroad. I know so many individuals who had exhilarating, life-changing experiences traveling abroad during college, and I often think about how I should have taken advantages of those numerous opportunities.
