I have to be honest; I seriously do not like my Spanish class! It’s driving me absolutely crazy! This is the last Spanish class I have to complete for my minor but I can tell that it’s going to be a struggle. I’m trying to understand concepts about immigration and the border all in Spanish and I barely understand them English! I can’t really complain too much because a lot of the reading is in English so that’s the plus side but I prefer focusing more on grammar. My grammar in Spanish could use a lot of work but I can barely find the time to work on it with all my other classes being down my neck.
The learning center has been off its game this semester. I think they’re looking for new tutors because there are no tutors for any Spanish courses and there are none for upper level biology courses. I’m always using resources on campus for help, especially when the professor advices to use them however it’s very difficult to do that when there is no help offered. One of my friends is getting behind in her Spanish course so I plan on helping her because it could help me brush up on my Spanish as well. I’m thinking about applying to be a tutor for Spanish but I’m not sure if I have the time. When you teach others it helps you learn and refreshes your memory.
