Careers services have helped me locate two different internships. Both that were of high importance and very interesting. One as a summer camp counselor in South Carolina and another in my hometown as a volunteer in a nursing home. Not only have they helped me find them, but also helped in writing my cover letter, resume and being prepared for my interviews with the jobs. Career services is dedicated to helping students strive and succeed to the degree that they should. However, career services do not go out on a limb for students. Rather, it is your responsibility to seek the help that is needed.
Currently, I am in the search of another internship for the summer of my incoming senior year. I’ve been aided again by career services that has been a major help to the success of finding different internships each year. Career services is there to assist students in many ways. Not all students are aware of the dedication that this services is willing to provide for us – and many don’t take the time to utilize these services. I recommend that you take the time to schedule an appointment and see how useful career services is to us students. You would be satisfied with what is offered!
