Biography
At BW, I was held leadership roles in the Alpha Phi Fraternity, and was involved in other service and leadership groups. To augment my PR skills, I obtained several internships, including one helping to drive a communications strategy to the BW campus, staff and community about the reaccreditation in 2007. I also worked at a B-to-B company and a B-to-C company, both in a marketing capacity. I joined Westlake-based Hyland Software in March 2008, and am currently on the Corporate Communications team.
Questions and answers
What is your favorite thing about BW?
BW's advantage is the intimate relationship students gain from their professors. Withouth this relationship, I likely wouldn't have had the internship at BW, which likely sold me as a candidate to Hyland Software.
What advice would you give to prospective students?
Get involved. College is only as valuable as the connections you make and how you maintain them post-graduation.
