Traveling is something I love, and wish I could afford to do more often, however, I am your typical poor college student. It's hard to find an affordable way to travel on short notice, which is why I'm so glad that my boyfriend discovered Great Wall Bus .   He traveled from NYC to Cleveland this summer to pay me a surprise visit and to see me perform in "Smokey Joes Cafe" at Cain Park in Cleveland Heights.  After some internet surfing, he found a bus line that leaves from Chinatown and comes straight into Cleveland seven days a week. The only downfall is not being able to understand a word of the Chinese, that the 99% of fellow passengers are speaking, but I normally just put headphones in and sleep anyway.  The bus line also runs in the reverse, Cleveland to NYC nightly.

I took the Great Wall Bus from Cleveland's Asia Plaza on Payne Ave. to Chinatown, NY this past Saturday night. It left Cleveland around 11:30pm and I arrived in NY at about 7:30 the following morning.   The Asia plaza is only 16 miles from my dorm, on the lovely Baldwin Wallace campus, so a friend/classmate dropped me off just in time to throw my stuff under the bus and find a seat. It was a pretty easy ride into NYC, and I slept most of the way there. It is the most magical feeling falling asleep in Ohio and waking up in Manhattan. This was the third time I've taken this bus from Cleveland to New York and the second time I did it alone. If you need an inexpensive last minute way to travel to New York, I would recommend the Great Wall Bus.  For much less than what it would cost to drive, you can buy a ticket online, any day of the week, and literally be on the way to NYC an hour later.
