I had another fun but busy spell this past week and weekend with class, rehearsals, midterm prepping, the boyfriend in from NYC, and then had to leave Friday evening for a wedding in Sandusky, Ohio. Sandusky is only about an hour from BW campus, so not too much of a drive. My boyfriend, a 2013 BWMT graduate, was in Berea for a visit and to participate in the remarriage of his dad in Sandusky, his home town. We found a little time one afternoon between the end of classes and my Carousel rehearsal to go shopping to buy him a suit and I a dress for the occasion. In the end he found a great suit but I was unable to find a dress partly due to time constraints. I ended up borrowing a lovely dress from one of my MT friends, which saved me a lot of time and money, so that worked out just fine.
We arrived in Sandusky Friday afternoon and the girls and guys split up for a while for some fun times. The wedding was Saturday and we woke to the most beautiful and unseasonably warm October weather. This worked out great as it was an outdoor wedding. The wedding was beautiful and it was nice to meet some of my boyfriends friends and family I hadn’t before. The bride and groom had a perfectly wonderful day and it was also heartwarming to witness them both taking this big step to happiness at this stage of their lives. My boyfriend, Jude, sang at the wedding and reception and I even got up and harmonized, somewhat reluctantly, a bit with him on the song “Waiting On A Sunny Day”. We stayed part of the day Sunday to visit with everyone and then I headed back to Berea and the reality of homework and studying early Sunday evening. I’m always glad to be back on campus but it was a great weekend.
