My last two finals fell on Thursday morning at 9 and 11:30 and were Keyboard and Harmony respectively. I got through both with confidence and may have done a shameless gigue after I was done. Later that night, a bunch of us MT's went out to Olive Garden to celebrate my friend Genna's 21st birthday. After dinner most people got on the road to home, however I was tired and not fully packed so I decided to hang out and wait until Friday to leave. Wrong decision.! If it wasn't bad enough that it was Friday the 13th, but the road construction on I-90 East caused a major, dead stopped, traffic jam that made my trip more than an hour longer than it normally is. I tried to be patient and got through the entire Jagged Little Pill album before I started to crack. I finally got home about 6:30 in the evening.
It's been snowing nonstop since I got home and I haven't really minded that I can't get out of my driveway. The snow is beautiful. It is now Sunday afternoon and I literally haven't left the house since I got home, other than to unload my car. I'm starting to forget my harrowing drive home and I have learned my lesson. I should have left Thursday. The trip was my little Friday the 13th nightmare but it could have been worse. The snow could have come a day sooner. Never again will I wait just one more day to travel.
