The other day, I had a rare evening free, which is a treat. Not knowing what to do with myself, I did the customary "text a few friends, wait for responses, check facebook for people..." yielding nothing. So I decided to head down to the conservatory and sit around in the lobby reading a book. It was relaxing, and I was making some good progress in the book, when a fringe friend came and happened to sit by me. We exchanged greetings and talked for a while, and I ended up getting to know her considerably better, going to eat a delicious dinner at The Blue Snapper (a place nearby campus that I hadn't been to before), and getting to hang out with several people I hadn't seen in a while. It's a reflection of one of my favorite things about BW: the campus is small enough that you can hardly go anywhere without an opportunity to see someone you know.
