Last weekend we closed our production of Mozart's Don Giovanni, and now I don't even know what to do with all this time! On Monday night, I had it set in my mind that at about 6 I was going to be headed right down to the theatre after choir. This was not so. On the bright side, I've been feeling much more inspired to compose, so my composition demi-minor is benefiting from that. I say demi-minor because I'm not actually able to take all the courses required for a composition major without going into overload, and I don't really think there IS a comp minor (at least not yet....!). So I just take class with the comp teacher (Dr. Hirt, who is awesome; you should check out some of his pieces on YouTube. Also, I think it's supposed to be really bad writing to put several sentences in parentheses. I should probably have just separated it out and then this explanation/disclaimer would not be necessary). I figure if I can't do exactly what I want to in my degree, I can still get the education!
