Questions and answers

Why did you choose to attend Baldwin-Wallace?

Honestly for me it was the clear choice. After researching and touring seventeen other schools I felt the special connection at BW. Most other colleges did not seem to genuinely care about their students. Even on most tours I felt like I was just a number. Although when I came to BW the experience was completely different. I will always remember entering into the Admissions Office and automatically feeling at home. Sure the tour was great, but there were many other reasons I chose BW. Every single person I met on this campus was very genuine and real, this was a necessity for a great college experience. Finally the well acclaimed programs are setting myself and the rest of my peers up for an amazing future. Every person, experience, and adventure I have had here just solidifies that I made the right choice choosing BW!

What is your favorite thing about BW?

I have many favorite things about BW, but if I had to choose one it would be the leadership opportunities which have arisen since being here. Just last semester at BW I was able to travel to Indiana and Missouri. Both trips were to better myself as a Greek woman and young leader. The experiences I had at both these camps have prepared me for the rest of my life. We have so many different leadership conferences on and off campus which gives students opportunities to learn about themselves and the real world.

What has BW helped you learn about yourself?

BW has helped me to grow in so many ways. Being here for two years has taught me so much about myself. I have learned how to work with other people from different backgrounds and how to truly be compassionate. I have learned not to procrastinate and to get my work done, because that is what I am at college to do, work! In the past two years I have grown into an adult so quickly it is insane, but a definite good thing!

What advice would you give to prospective students?

I would tell them to be true to themselves and listen to your heart. Making the big decision on college is a life changing moment, and you want to be completely sure you are going to the right school. You must feel totally secure in your choice. To make sure you feel that way go on tours, and overnight visits. Going to these tours and visits give you the opportunity to really see the school for what it is. This is how I fell in love with BW! Also do not be afraid to ask questions, if you don't ask you will never know! My final piece of advice is to be so excited to start this new chapter in your life!
