This post is for more of you who are interested in being a student athlete. Every semester, Student Athlete Services puts on a speaker that all student athletes have to attend. It’s not really as bad as it sounds, though.
This year’s speaker was Rohan Murphy, a man who had to have both legs amputated at the age of 4 and still managed to become a wrestler at Penn State. He’s now a motivational speaker and is an international power-lifter. I mean, the guy has no legs and has benched 350 pounds. That’s really impressive and very inspiring. He even called out the wrestling team and showed them a few moves. Lol.
I think that BW tries to offer a lot of programs and really tries to bring the athletic community together through events such as this, and I’m so happy I’m a student athlete!
