Questions and answers
Why did you choose to teach at BW?
I came to BW because of the tremendous enthusiasm and support of the arts from the administration, faculty and community.
What characteristics distinguish BW from other colleges/universities?
Cleveland has one of the most exciting and vibrant cultural scenes in the country, and BW capitalizes on its proximity to city by procuring internships and jobs at many downtown theatres. Students and their long-term careers are *the* priority.
How do you mentor students?
I think long-term and work with the student early on to come up with a "plan of attack" to acquire internships and jobs. We start thinking in September of summer employment and I encourage students to attend conferences and auditions throughout the year.
What do students like best about your class?
Students seem to appreciate the attention they receive in my performance classes and the understanding that all learning & growth is unique to the individual. We take the work seriously, but not ourselves.
