Intramurals and Club Sports
Intramural sports provide an opportunity for students, faculty and staff to compete against one another on campus. Tournaments and leagues are offered throughout the academic year and consist of individuals and teams of all ability levels. B-W offers one of the most extensive intramural programs for a college its size and has hundreds of participants every year.
Olympic Sport Clubs provide an opportunity for students to compete at a higher level. Baldwin-Wallace Olympic Sport Clubs compete against colleges and universities across the country and have won several national championships. Sport Clubs have traveled to AZ, TX, MN, MD, NV, IL and several other states to compete against the highest caliber of clubs in the country.
Sport Clubs are open to students who have an interest in any of the clubs offered through Recreational Sports and Services. These clubs offer extramural competition as well as off-campus activities that place an emphasis on fun and lifetime fitness activities.
Outdoor Recreation allows you an opportunity to develop a greater appreciation of nature by providing outdoor recreation activities. Trips are offered on a seasonal basis throughout the academic year and are open to all students, faculty and staff. There are annual sailing trips in the Florida Keys, White Water Adventures in the Gully River, ski trips to the slopes in NY and WV, and camping trips throughout the year.
Leisure Recreation consists of non-credit courses developed for the specific purpose of improving and maintaining the physical fitness of our students, faculty and staff. The sessions typically run for six to ten weeks and are led by highly trained instructors in each activity.
Other services available include recreational equipment rentals and outdoor recreation programming, as well as non-credit workshops and clinics. Students are welcome to develop their own student organization. Come to Baldwin-Wallace College Recreation Center and explore the opportunities we have to offer you!
